Bon-Odori is a traditional summer dance festival in Japan. Because it is held in summer, most women who attend wear the traditional yukata, which is a casual, light summer kimono, usually made up of brightly printed cotton fabric. I had some of this lovely blue fabric left over from another craft project and decided to make a yukata for Barbie.

And note that I don't own Barbie dolls. I bought this one last year in order to figure out some pattern cards (for sewing) that were approximately the size of clothes for a Barbie doll. Figuring the pattern out at the small size was a big help.
